Trump laid the groundwork for Justice Kennedy’s departure before the midterms. If Trump gets to choose the next Supreme Court Justice he may well be choosing the person who will have the decisive vote about whether this president can pardon himself or whether this president must respond to a subpoena to appear before a Grand Jury. We know Trump doesn’t care about the law and flagrantly violates the law. Many of us think Trump may well be Putin’s asset. It is ironic and bizarre beyond belief that the person in the White House who may have committed treason, probably is a criminal, will now be in a position to name the one person who could determine his ultimate fate as the Mueller investigation moves forward. Trump is mighty good at manipulating the system to get whatever he needs and wants. He wanted Kennedy to leave at the end of the term and before the midterms. He played it well and he won.
This is the break the glass moment for progressive Americans. We are the majority by a lot. 60-70% I think. We either stand up now and get active including calls to MOCs and register voters and get out the voters or we end up in a country we can’t stand to live in.
