Here is what Biden has accomplished-
In the last few weeks, we’ve gotten repeated confirmation of the success of the Biden Presidency –
- Inflation was zero last month and prices of many goods are failing.
- Crime and murder rates are way down.
- Gas prices are down.
- Immigrant flow to the border is down.
- We’ve had the strongest economic recovery of any advanced economy in the world.
- The best job market since the 1960s.
- The lowest uninsured rate in American history.
- The deficit (massively increased by Trump’s tax cuts for the rich) is trillions less.
- The Dow has broken 40,000 and all three indices are in record territory.
- Domestic oil, gas and renewable production continue to be at all-time highs leaving America more energy independent than it has been in decades.
- The Wall Street Journal called the American economy the “envy of the world.”
- The Economist just wrote about the unprecedented start up boom America is experiencing right now.
- Biden’s big three investment bills have dramatically accelerated the energy transition necessary to combat climate change and will be creating opportunities and jobs for our workers for decades to come.
- Joe Biden promised to make things better for all of us, to get us successfully to the other side of COVID. He did what he promised to do. (Simon Rosenberg)
This information needs to be front and center in the minds of voters.
Here is what a Trump MAGA presidency would do to America-
They want Putin to win, the West to lose. The border to be in chaos, and migrants to keep flowing into the country so Trump can have something to run on but even if Trump wins they won’t fix the border because they need it to scare Americans to vote for them. The economy to crash. Americans to lose more rights and freedoms. The planet to warm faster. 10-year-olds to carry their rapist’s baby to term, and for more women to die on an operating room table. Tens of millions to lose their health insurance. More dead kids in schools from gun violence. Verified rapists in positions of authority. A restoration of pre-Civil Rights era white supremacy. Huge new tariffs which raise prices on everything, destroy the global economy which has made us prosperous while enacting big tax cuts for the wealthiest. Books banned across the US. Seniors to pay more for insulin and prescription drugs. Foreign governments free to pollute our daily discourse and harass our citizens. Teenagers to work night shifts in meat packing plants and not go to school. The minimum wage to stay at $7.25. Mass arrests and mass deportations of immigrants long settled in the US. Insurrectionists to get pardoned. To end American democracy for all time.
- End the NATO alliance which has keep us safe and free
- End the American-led global economic order which has made us prosperous
- End American democracy, which has inspired the world, for all time
It is not an exaggeration to say that Trump 2024 is running to destroy the country and the American-led global order, an order that has created a golden age of freedom and opportunity for the people of the world and people of the United States. Trump has become even more aligned with and an aspiring leader of a global political movement – Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, Hamas, Hezbollah – which wants to return the world to an era of domination by dictators, of loss of freedoms for everyone except the dictator and his minions. Trump made that clear to all of us on January 6th, 2021, again on June 24th, 2022, and every day on the campaign this year.

The next election will turn on the amount of fear and outrage that voters have about Trump and what he could do to wreck our country if he regains power.
The Biden Campaign needs to remind people how bad Trump was as president. Most Americans have the political knowledge and memory of fruit flies. They need to be reminded how incredibly badly Trump handled the pandemic, the huge job losses on his watch, tax cuts only for the rich, endless infrastructure week that never happened and much more.
Americans should be scared about the future if Trump is elected. If Trump is elected our country will become a failed state.
Here’s what Americans should really be scared about:
1) Trump is the one with signs of early dementia. He does not think rationally or clearly, and he is the one who is meandering mentally- he talks about sharks and electrocution and batteries and the water pressure in his shower and his beautiful hair and lathering up his body. He mixes up Pelosi with Nikki Haley, says he won the election against Obama, claims that Biden could get us into World War II. What the heck is going on with this guy’s brain?! There is no cure for dementia. His father died of Altzheimer’s. People with dementia often get paranoid. Trump is already paranoid. He will get worse.
2) Trump is a crook. He is a convicted felon with 34 felony convictions. By-the-way, 30 countries around the world will not even let convicted felons into their countries. Trump slandered and raped E Jean Carroll. He was found to have engaged in a massive civil fraud for which he owes millions to the state of New York. He has been banned from doing business in that state. Trump as president would have access to our top secret information if he won re-election. Because he needs money and is willing to do anything to get it, he will be a perfect target for espionage. He will sell our most precious secrets to our enemies to get rich off of them. He may have already done that or be doing that currently with the top secret documents he stole and took to Mar-a- Lago. Americans cannot trust Trump to protect our country. He is not out to help Americans. He is out to help himself.
2) Trump is already pandering to the gas and oil industry. If he is elected, our planet and all of us who live on it, will literally be doomed- we are at the point of no return these next few years- if we fail to increase solar and wind exponentially and allow the gas and oil industries to get Trump re-elected, our children and grandchildren will be living in a catastrophic world where parts of the planet will be uninhabitable, forcing millions of desperate people to leave their countries to survive, setting up border chaos and the rise of widespread strongman leaders and authoritarian regimes.
3) Democracy will be over along with our rights and freedoms. Project 2025 is a blueprint for a dictatorship with Trump at the helm. Once democracy is eliminated, you can’t get easily get it back.
4) Women will be forced to give birth against their will; women will give birth to more babies with serious defects (this is already happening in Texas); and women will die from complications in pregnancy and miscarriages because legislators think they know better than physicians – we’re close to The Handmaids Tale even now. With Trump in power, it will get worse because he needs the evangelicals and Christian nationalists to vote for him or he cannot return to power.
These points need to be hammered and repeated ad nauseum- on TV and social media with no paywall.
The people who will decide the outcome of this election live in the battleground states and are still persuadable. There are about 80,000 of them. Most of them have no idea that the future of not just our country but the entire planet rests on their vote in November 2024.
WHAT BIDEN’S MESSAGING NEEDS TO FOCUS ON
Many people are afraid that Biden isn’t getting his message out about all he has done to help America. That’s true. But it is partly the fault of our news systems- they are in disarray. Biden’s campaign is playing on an unequal playing field. Biden’s message gets drowned out by the MAGA megaphone that is Fox News, Sinclair, OANN, The Wall Street Journal, New York Post, and conservative radio – which are not being held to account for the barrage of fake news they spew every day. Hosts on Fox like Hannity and many others in that ecosystem get away with lies and propaganda. To hold them accountable for their lies, you have to bring a hugely expensive lawsuit the way Dominion did. Even then, Fox goes back to lying to appease their misinformed viewers and give them what they want to hear.
All of those rightwing megaphones are primed to give the same message which includes widespread mis and dis information that is on repeat, rinse, and repeat cycle. Biden is limited by having to use mainstream media to get his message out. He lacks a megaphone that hammers his message home. Mainstream media has also hobbled itself by thinking that they have to treat both sides as equally valid. That results in amplifying the mis and dis information Trump puts out and allows inaccurate information and speculation from the Trump camp to be on equal footing with Biden’s honest, accurate information.
And then there are the dirty tricks that Trump and his cohort use. They are fine with cheating to win. So, they doctor up video to make it look like Biden is “meandering” around at the G-7 meeting when he is greeting people off camera and the video has been clipped to make it look like he is a dithering old coot.
To end the MAGA assault on our democracy, Trump and the MAGAs need to lose election after election until they decide that extremism isn’t working for them. That means people who fear Trump must vote in numbers that far outstrip the MAGA voters who are trying to install minority rule in America.
SIGNS THAT THE TIDE IS TURNING AGAINST TRUMP
The tide is starting to turn. A Fox News poll shows Biden pulling ahead of Trump for the first time.
Trump may have a handful of billionaires willing to support him, but the business community has realized the danger. It is not behind Trump. Fortune 500 CEOs are concerned about the direction Trump would take our country. They understand that Trump’s tariff plan will cause inflation and the GDP will plunge. They don’t like it that the MAGAs and Trump engage in culture wars because the workforce in our country and many in the ranks of the C-suite are people of color who represent the melting pot that is America. They might not like it that Trump’s tax plan will end in 2025, but that is not enough for them to support Trump.
Jeffery Sonnenfeld of the Yale School of Management reports that NO fortune 500 CEOs currently support Trump. This is a huge change of allegiance the business community. The business world in our country has historically supported the Republican candidate. But Trump has changed that. CEOs understand that public trust is crucial for the success of their companies.
- In 2004 42% of Fortune 100 CEOs supported the Republican candidate for president.
- In 2008 29% of them supported the Republican candidate.
- That fell slightly in 2012 to 28%.
- In 2016 support dropped to 0.
- In 2020 there was 2% support for Trump when he lost to Biden.
- And today the number of CEOs supporting Trump is ZERO.
THE QUIET ARMY AT WORK TO SAVE DEMOCRACY
There are many pro-democracy groups that have been very active under the radar since Trump was elected in 2016. They have been reaching out to voters especially in swing states, using the highly effective approach of relational organizing; convincing appealing candidates to run as Democrats for state and local office so that state houses flip red to blue instead of allowing the Republican to run unopposed and dominating statehouses across the country without a fight; sending millions of reminder post cards to people who sometimes don’t bother to vote and don’t know their votes count far more than anyone else’s votes in America, and much more.
It is pretty crazy to realize that around 80,000 persuadable voters in the key battleground states will determine the future not only of our country but the fate of the world depending on whether they vote for Trump or Biden.
